Charlie Montgomery is a lifelong resident of Carroll and Leflore Counties in Mississippi. Following graduation from high school he started farming a small portion of his dads land. Over the next 26 years Charlie grew his farm from 30 acres to 4000 acres scattered across three counties. In 2007 Charlie decided to pursue a sideline business in real estate. In less than 18 months he had started a commercial real estate firm and was licensed in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. Over the next 16 years he and his company handled the acquisition of hundreds of sites for national developers and the disposition of many of the completed projects. Because of his knowledge of the commercial developments, several investor/buyers asked Charlie to manage the properties after their acquisition. He still manages commercial properties for some of these clients today. In the fall of 2023 Charlie started looking for opportunities that would get him back to his first love. Dirt. This search led to Farm Management Service, LLC. FMS is a full-service real estate company with an emphasis on land management. With a lifetime of farm experience and over 15 years of real estate management, Charlie knew he had found what he was looking for and is excited to help grow this new business. Give Charlie a call to discuss how he can help you with any of your management or real estate needs.
