This one-of-a-kind building and appurtenances are located in the historic town of Oak Hill in eastern Wilcox County. Oak Hill was designated a National Historic District in 1999 and this building was one of the principal contributing structures. The Cotton Boll was originally a large store and was converted into a restaurant in the late 1990s by the present owner. It operated as a very nice restaurant for several years and then was a hunting lodge for a short time. It has been maintained in excellent condition ever since. The heated and cooled area - provided by two heat pumps consists of over 3,000 square feet. The building consists of a large kitchen area, display area, and separate rooms, along with several bathrooms. A beautiful outdoor garden patio lies ouside the south entrance.

This complex is located near the intersection of two major state highways Highway 10 and Highway 21. The highest and best use of this property is one of the following: 1) restaurant; 2) hunting lodge; 3) antique store. The latter is probably the best use because of the main building layout and the numerous outbuildings which can be used for restoration and storage. Power is availble in all the outbuildings and public water to the main building and most of the outbuildings.
