This large tract is located 3 miles southeast of Springhill and
approximately 33.5 miles northeast of Shreveport. Access is via maintained oil well roads
and woods roads across adjoining timberland from Mulberry Ridge Road. Timber on the tract
consists of 193 acres of thinned pine plantations which include both 14 and 18 year old
stands. The remaining acreage consists of hardwood bottomland that has been harvested and
now has natural hardwood regeneration with patches of scattered hardwood trees. Several
Stream Management Zones pass through the property, which have mixed hardwood timber
running along the drains and along the Bayou. These hardwood patches, stream zones, pine
timber stands and open regeneration provide a great blend of wildlife habitat.
