This ranch was developed to produce trophy whitetail deer and has been under a game management program for over 10 years. The comprehensive management program has produced bucks scoring in the 180-190 B&C range. This year looks to be one of the best yet. The terrain is classic hill country with rolling hills, steep bluffs and flat pasture land. The topography allows for some of the finest long rang views in the area. There are thousands of huge, mature oaks that cover the ranch. Old cedar regrowth was cleared roughly 10 years ago and controlled burns have kept the native grasses in great shape. Deer Creek meanders through the ranch for about 1/2 mile. There is also a dam which provides a beautiful, crystal clear lake which is perfect for fishing or just taking a swim. Aside from the outstanding deer population (1.1-1 buck to doe ratio) there plenty of turkey and other game opportunities to include hogs, quail, ducks, and dove. The ranch is completely high fenced except for a small area of low fencing downstream from the dam. There is a paved road from the entrance all the way to the main lodge. The executive lodge is a 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home which is U shaped with a swimming pool and attached hot tub in the middle. It has a "lodgy" feel with vaulted ceilings, nice kitchen, bar, gameroom and large/open living and dining areas. Just a few steps from the main lodge there is an additional living quarters with 2 bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bath. There is also a 1 bedroom +loft modular home at the ranch hand’s camp. There are two sets of working pens, barns, sheds, rifle range for dialing in your rifles, and numerous out buildings. Everything on the ranch stays to include all blinds and feeding stations, 2 trucks, a Ford Expedition, 2 four wheelers, all equipment and furnishings (minus personal items).
