The live oak, shin oak, pinon pine, blue sage, huisache, huisachillo, grama, buffalo and bluestem habitat is home to a variety of wildlife including aoudad, axis, whitetail deer, hogs, dove, quail and turkey with Lake Amistad nearby.
Private water well feeds the cleared camp area, with a built pad and well/storage house. Several water troughs are kept full keeping the game coming back. Also 3 very nice blinds and 3 feeders on solar batteries still throwing corn. Up to 18 whitetail were counted at one time under one of the feeders.
