62-005 Tallapoosa Hunting & Timber -

This 100-acre hunting and timber tract is located in central Tallapoosa County northwest of the community of Jacksons Gap. It is accessed by Sturdivant Road that runs through the property. To get to the property from Jacksons Gap, take Rock Springs Road north to Camp Assca Road, then go west for approximately 1 ½ miles to the intersection with Sturdivant Road . Travel southwest along Sturdivant Road for about 1 mile until you reach the east boundary. Great Southern Land signs are near the east line and at the northwest corner.

The timber was cruised by Ron Hilyer, registered forester. February 2010 timber volumes were as follows: Pine Pulpwood - 537 tons; Hardwood Pulpwood - 1,685 tons; Hardwood Pallet Logs - 418 tons; Pine Chip-N-Saw - 216 tons; Pine Sawtimber - 1,367 tons; Poplar Logs - 181 tons; Red Oak Logs - 392 tons; White Oak Logs - 96 tons.
