The Chavis Farm is located in western Bamberg County close to both Bamberg and Denmark. The farm consists of approximately 150 acres of row crop/open land with the remainder in 3 home places, wood blocks, and bottomland along the Little Salkehatchie River.

For the farmer, multiple utility buildings and silos are scattered about the farm.

For the recreational user, there is interest in leasing the row crop for production from a few of the area farmers. The diversity of woods, row crop, and bottomland with river access provides multiple opportunities for whitetail deer, turkey, dove, ducks, and fishing. Of the 3 home places, 2 could be utilized but will need work. Both of these houses are brick and would make nice rural retreats/hunting cabins. Two canals to the Little Salkehatchie provide easy access for fishing or kayaking.
