BEAR CREEK PLANTATION is 345 acres located on Pisgah Bottom Rd. north of Canton and west of I-55 with frontage on Bear Creek, a major tributary of the Big Black River.
It consist of approx. 210 acres of pine plantation ranging in age from 5 to10 years enrolled in the CRP program paying $14,000 per year. The remainder is in food plots, shooting lanes, and hardwoods. There are fingers of hardwood bottoms extending into the pines that making excellent travel corridors for game to move about the property.
This area is very well known for the production of BIG deer and the deer habitat on this place enhances the hunting. The pine plantation is still producing a lot of cover and tons of browse.
