This acreage was previously part of the Mark Twain National Forest. It was outside of their boundary so they traded it for some acreage within the boundary. It is wooded with marketable timber of mature oak and yellow pine. The Forestry Service planted about 25 acres of yellow pine, which is now being thinned to help them grow better. It is 1 mile from US 63 Hwy, very close to Willow Springs, MO and West Plains. You will be amazed by the abundance of wildlife and is a great spot for cutting timber or hunting.
