Notes on the Passive Solar System:
This homes has been engineered (roofline angles, etc) for maximum sun exposure. It is facing solar south. The solar panel array provides power that is stored in a battery bank. Power from the battery bank is inverted to provide 8,000 watts of power at 120 volts. Dual 4,000 watt inverters provide the home with 8,000 watts total power, which is the standard residential home hook-up. In the event there is not enough solar gain or extra power is needed there is a backup generator (4 cylinder Mitsubishi engine).
