The Tait-Ervin home, also known as Countryside, is a one of a kind property located in Wilcox Co., Alabama near Camden. It is a two story wood frame plantation home that was built in 1855 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1995. It is located on approximately 47 acres near the Alabama River in southwest Alabama. The home features large rooms with 15 ft. high ceilings, heart pine flooring, ornate detailed plaster work, large covered porches, pocket doors, a wide cross hall, and a modern kitchen with plenty of cabinet space and an island. There are three bedrooms and two and one half baths along with a living room, a parlor, a library and entertainment room.
