Rothiemay, Montana, was named after a village in Scotland. A community center and cemetery is all that remains of this homestead town that the railroad left behind.
Located fifteen miles north of Ryegate, the County Seat, in Golden Valley County. Ryegate has a post office, grocery store, gas station, and a cafe. Golden Valley County has a population of 1,171 hearty souls.
