The property is located in Oakdale, Louisiana. The tract is just east of US Hwy 165. The property is adjacent to the western boundary of the Federal Detention Center. The tract can be accessed via Whatley Road, a parish blacktop road. There is a narrow strip of land on the northern portion of the property that intersects with Whatley Road.

The property is relatively flat and the soils are poorly drained. There is a drainage ditch running through the southern portion of the property. Approximately 95% of the tract is considered upland and capable of growing pine trees.
