A ranch that has it all!!! Mesquite savannah upland interspersed with live oak, hackberry, and plumb trees along with other beneficial browse, and native grasses. There are two deep - 1 acre stock tanks that provide great dove and waterfowl hunting, transitioning down to 200 acres on the north end with deep drought resistant pools along the 1.75 miles of Home Creek riparian area. The South Orient Rail Line/Texas Pacifico Rairoad fforms the northern border of the property. The property is completely fenced with typical pasture fencing and considered to be in good condition.
Good white-tailed deer habitat that has been hunted by the same family for over a decade with minimal harvest of one to two bucks per year. Turkey and quail populations have been good over the years, relative to the weather and predators.

Owned by the Anson Family since the 1890's, the property was a part of the 10,000 acre Cleveland Ranch. A small portion of the Cleveland Ranch became the town of Valera and the remainder was purchased by the Anson brothers. In 1902, William Anson subsequently traded all of the Cleveland Ranch for another property, except for this section which the Anson family has continued to ranch until present. The ranch was managed by William Maine assisted by Richard A. Dick Poley who later became the Coleman County sheriff.
