Wildlife: The whitetail herd on the ranch has been intensely managed for years, and as such, this is one of the most densely-populated white tail deer properties in the area. In fact, the property boasts some of the best whitetail genetics in southwest Texas, each year producing deer that score over 170. As previously alluded to, this property also has a remarkably strong axis deer population, which can be hunted year round. This ranch is extremely well watered with two irrigation wells (one is capped; the other runs the irrigation pivots), five other working wells, three dirt tanks (all three are fed by wells, so they can stay full at all times), and 14 water troughs (all buried water lines). In addition to the robust water infrastructure throughout the property, the presence of a diverse native brush habitat and a supplemental feeding program are key elements that enable this ranch to carry significantly more deer than most others in South Texas. *The ranch is currently owned and managed by Realtree pro-staff member and host of hunting television shows The One and Savage Outdoors, Mike Stroff. Lodging Improvements: The property has multiple lodging options, including a 3 bedroom/2 bath main house with a washer and dryer; 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin; a 1 bedroom/1 bath loft above the detached garage that can sleep many adults; and an additional 1/2 bath and washer/dryer can be found in the garage.
