This 642-acre farm in Northwestern Crosby County is in a good irrigation water area. There are 4 wells with submersible electric motors and pumps (3 – 30 hp & 1 – 40 hp), 2 wells with 6” turbine pumps and natural gas engines and 2 cased wells without pumps. A 6” turbine pump that was producing a half pipe of water was removed from one of these wells and could be easily replaced with a submersible pump in that 3-phase electricity is available at the well. There is also a domestic well with a 10-hp pump that supplies water to the houses and for livestock. The owner states that the irrigation wells will produce a total of approximately 2000 gpm.

The farm contains a large playa lake with the sides having been bench leveled and with approximately 40 acres in the lake bottom that are not cultivated. The remainder of the farm is very nice, level land. For the past several years, the owner has grown small grain and hay-grazer crops for hay and/or grazing.
The farm has many depreciable assets including 2 houses, 3 metal buildings, 4 Harvestor silos, a covered feeding floor and many miles of underground pipeline. One of the buildings is a 40’x60’ Quonset with attached 24’x60’ shed and 30’x64’ shop. There is another Quonset that is 32’x60’ and a 32’x68’ straight-sided building. The cover feeding floor which is next to the silos is approximately 55’x75’. One home is wood-frame stucco with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room and den that has been vacant for approximately 4 years. The second home is a smaller and would require major renovations.
