The entire farm was seeded with a blend of native grasses, forbs and legumes which is a blend to get the maximum number of points when bidding for your DRP program. The flower's special blend, when they go to seed in the fall, are excellent food sources also for birds.

There is a 25-30 foot strip that is kept mowed and green, and used for a "burn barrier".

For the food plots a high concentration of lime and fertilizer is generally applied. Two plots will be in corn and two will be in Milo. There will be no more sunflowers at this time until a seed is developed that is herbicide resistant.

On the farm there are also deer, pheasants, turkeys and quail for any interested in hunting.
