This property is the perfect mix of high and low ground. The property was logged for mature aspen and some mature pine 8 years ago. The re-growth of the Aspen has been perfect for food and cover for the whitetails and ruffed grouse in the area. Black bear and spruce grouse have also been seen here. Fishing is fantastic in this area with Lake Vermilion just 30 minutes away and Pelican Lake just 20 minutes north. It would be a hard choice to make to decide which one to try first. Lake Verimilion has a higher than normal walleye population and Pelican Lake has high numbers of northern pike, yellow perch, and black crappie and an average number of walleyes. This property is mostly raw, undeveloped land, that has been hunted modestly over the last several years. A few food plots on the property would draw in the whitetails. You could definitely attract the local population of of whitetails to this land because there are no farms nearby. There are fingers and pockets of high ground all around the property, and a few food plots in strategic areas would help bring in the whitetails. Most of the Property is unexplored with just a few trails in place allowing you to add new trails and find new stand locations. There is state land to the north and west, making the property hunt even bigger. The property has been qualified for the SFIA Stewardship Program, which could be started by a new owner. There is excellent whitetail deer, black bear, and ruffed grouse hunting on the property.
