The tract has about 800 feet of common boundary with the Lake Russel project. The Project includes ±26,650 acres of water surrounded by ±26,500 acres of public land. The US Army Corps of Engineers manages the lake project. The water level fluctuates less than other lakes in the area and is typically held within ±5 feet of full pool. Private exclusive use is not permitted on the shoreline. From the lake, you will not see privately-owned boat docks, launching ramps, buildings, or clearings along the shore. Landowners who share a common boundary with the lake project are allowed the use of adjacent lakeshore lands. Foot travel is permitted on public property all around the lake. Adjacent landowners enjoy a private access point from their property to public land and water for hunting and fishing. This property has about 200 feet of frontage on Highway 81, and access from Latimer Boat Ramp Road (formerly named Sawmill Road) with over 100 feet of frontage there. Electric, water and high speed internet lines run along Highway 81.

From Calhoun Falls (intersection of Hwy 81 and Hwy 72) go north of Hwy 81 about ±1.7 miles. You will see Springfield Church on the right. Turn beside the church onto Latimer Boat Ramp Road. The property begins on the right side of the road at the entrance to the church cemetery. Look for a for sale sign beside a woods road with a metal gate.
