The far eastern end is relatively flat with sandy soils, mesquite, prickly pear and scattered live oak. As you move west, you encounter a scenic prominent rocky ridge that consists of live oak, thickets of shin oak and a few scattered red oak. The western portion is a rolling plateau of darker soils with mesquite, pear, live oak, algarita, cat claw acacia, green briar and persimmon trees. All of it is wooded.
