A public/private partnership brings much needed jobs to Alleghany County with the imminent construction of a Love's Travel Stop and Country Store at exit 21 of Interstate 64. $4 million is being spent to improve the access ramps to allow for the projected increase in truck and auto traffic. The travel stop will be open 24 hours and include McDonald's and Subway.

LewisGale Hospital is just across the interstate.
