At Banded Drake, hunting meets luxury. Beyond the thrill of the early mornings in the marsh chasing ducks, Banded Drake offers dove hunting for those looking for a relaxing group hunt and getting the dogs back in shape for November. For those less inclined to chase the migratory birds, there is no shortage of deer and feral hogs on the ranch. For the hunter who does it all, a typical day at the ranch includes an early morning duck hunt, an evening deer hunt and chasing down the hogs at night. There is never an excuse not to have something to hunt at Banded Drake.

The seasoned pros at Banded Drake have constructed a waterfowl habit that is unmatched. Through controlled flooding on the high grounds of the ranch, 6 ponds are planted in millet and sits in just a few feet of water providing ideal conditions for all species of ducks. In the marsh, there is a copious amount of millet, duckweed and smartweed providing an ample food source for ducks. During the season, these crops are covered with a layer of sheet water providing a great place for the ducks to go leading to close shots. The marsh is accessible by duck boat with the boat channel allowing for a smooth ride into the blind, or by side by sides on tracks. For those that prefer to hunt timber, there is a flooded timber hole that mallards dive-bomb regularly. All duck holes are equipped with high end blinds, including both pit blinds and floating blinds.

For those slow days hunting, Banded Drake provides fishing at 3 stocked ponds and the marsh with double digit days to be expected regularly. With the high success rate, it provides the perfect opportunity to introduce the kids to the sport and is guaranteed to put a smile on their face. The ranch also boasts a shooting complex that features a 15 yard pistol bay, 150 yard rifle range and 12 station sporting clays course. This gives hunters a great place to hone with marksmanship, as well as some friendly competition with other members and guests.

For those long off-season months, Banded Drake provides a great get away for family and friends. The ranch boasts a large swimming pool with hot tub, four-hole golf course, multiple bars and fire pits giving everyone an opportunity to unwind from a long week around good friends and family. Banded Drake is located in the heart of Telephone, Texas near the Red River on Texass northern border. The ranch is approximately 90 miles north of Dallas, or an hour and a half making it an easy weekend escape.

The main lodge is a 2023 new construction 13,000 square foot oasis with 13 bedrooms, bunk rooms and common spaces for fellowship. Members will have brand new individual lockers to leave all of the members gear, state of at the art gun cleaning stations and places to hang their waders. Members will also enjoy the benefits of having storage for their ATV/SXS or boats on property eliminating the need for trailing and storage units. When it comes to cleaning game, there is a fully enclosed drive though game cleaning station complete with wash down, plucker, vacuum sealer, as well as game hoist. With the entire property being new construction with the highest grade of materials, members enjoy a truly luxurious escape instead of a traditional hunting camp. At Banded Drake, all you have to do is show up and all of your gear will be waiting for you along side a clean bed and a home-cooked meal.
