Bluegrass FLS Hammond Florida Agricultural Portfolio
Bluegrass FLS Hammond is a 353.9 acre typical flat woods grove located in Ft. Pierce, Florida with approximately 100% uplands. Low-volume micro-sprinkler with surface irrigation water from canals maintained by Orange Avenue Citrus Growers Association, Inc (OACGA) Ashland District. Water is pumped through a diesel engine powered centrifugal pumps with fertigation capability. Bluegrass FLS Hammond is one of several included in a larger portfolio of 11,100.9 acres spanning across DeSoto, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties.
The grove was originally planted in 1986 with a variety of oranges and grapefruit. The original trees were planted at a variety of settings such as 12.5 x 22.5 (155 tpa), 15 x 20 (145 tpa), and 17 x 20 (128 tpa).
