Fully fenced and with some cross-fence, almost 0.6 mile (3,135 ft.) of the perimeter is national forest boundary. Direct gated access to the adjacent forest extends the immediate back yard for many miles in which to roam, hike, ride and hunt. The buildings are easy maintenance by design and there is ample storage space throughout. A windmill is filling the recently built pond in one pasture, there are four wells on the property, and a large storage tank accumulates fresh rainwater.
