Duval County has long been known to be one of the best hunting counties in Texas and this ranch is no exception. Aside from the great White-Tailed Deer hunting on this ranch there can also be some fantastic bird hunting. Feral Hogs and Rio Grande Turkey frequent the ranch and the area. Numerous varmints also call this area home including coyotes, bobcats, and foxes. This area of South Texas is also home to many bird species that migrate through every year.

Habitat:

The habitat on this ranch is second to none with brush diversity and edible high protein browse. Extremely heavy South Texas brush makes up almost all of the habitat on this ranch aside from a few small open field areas. The brush consist of Blackbrush, Guajilla, Cenizo and Mesquite mixed in.
