An outstanding hunting tract with habitat diversity is what you will find as you ride up on this ridge land. A gravel road, County Road 262, is the southern border of the tract. You enter from the south and drive up on the ridge, where there are two food plots on the front parcel and four small food plots on the back 80+/-. The road system is very good and allows you to travel the ridge top and dips you down into the timber along the west side. The timber was cut on about half the tract about 3 years ago, so it has the thick cover and browse that really hold the deer, and make great habitat for turkeys and other wildlife. The remaining timber is mature and mostly pine, but there are scattered pockets of hardwood as well. The views are long-range from the top and you can see toward the community of Town Creek to the north. There are several saddles and finger ridges in the timber that make for excellent pinch points for stand locations. Quality bucks are in the area, and this ridge is the main cover they live in, with the crop fields to the north, the deer push back in here during the fall and winter.
