Wildlife: This is an excellent hunting area for both deer and elk. Sign can be seen all over the property. This property also qualifies for 2 buck LOP tags and 2 bull LOP tags. The hunting unit is West Northside. There is a good mix of open ground for feed and thick timber giving animals plenty of places to hide. Many rubs from both elk and deer can be seen all over the property. These are good indicators that elk are in there from August-October and bucks are in there late in the season. There is plenty of cover for bow hunting and is also open enough for rifle hunting. The amount of water ensures animals to stay in and around the property. This acreage is also bordered by USFS on two sides which means you can chase animals over the fence.
Overview: This is a great end of the road property. It is 8 miles down a USFS road from highway 395 between Mt. Vernon and Fox, Oregon. No easements or access, public or private through the property. It is about 80% timbered with both Ponderosa Pine and Fir. The stand is young but there are some merchantable trees on it now. There is only one fence on the southern border at this time. The property is buildable for a residence or cabin. Great views of Aldrich Mountain can be seen from the upper reaches.
