The current family tree 'uncles' purchased the barn in 1947 then transferred to the nephew 30 years ago.

Prior to the Byram family ownership, the City of Caribou owned this farm, barn, and some houses surrounding. This was known as 'the town farm.' Homeless folks & families could stay in the houses. Other townsfolk who had a place to live could get assistance for food & housing thru the city. Then all would help out on the farm, working the land & crops or cooking for others, in exchange for their City assistance.

Having been used as a family overhead door business for the last 30 years. this barn is set up nicely for storage or a small business, the barn is sound and secure, they made sure of that when they took over the ownership!
