The Green Acres Retreat is a 145 acre property in Vermillion County near the town of Cayuga, IN 47928. This area has a strong deer population and is well known for producing great trophy whitetail deer. The property is only 2 miles north of the former Newport Chemical Depot. It includes a small 1064 Sq. Ft. cabin built in 1921 located at the far northeast corner of the property. A good internal road system consisting of former logging trails and ATV trails allows access to every corner of the property. Several great open areas are already being used as food plots and many others could be developed. A good number of tillable acres surround this property and provide a great food source for the resident wildlife. The deer sign is everywhere in the form of rubs, scrapes, and trails that have been worn down from years of use. The many ridge tops produce a lot of roosting trees for the resident turkeys.
