The Greer Ranch is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Lusk, Wyoming in Niobrara County and consists of 8,566 deeded acres, 640 State of Wyoming lease acres and 40 BLM leased acres for a total of 9,246 contiguous acres. The ranch is easily accessible off paved highways to county roads. The topography varies from rolling hills to miles of creek bottoms. The varied terrain provides a range of vegetation as well as natural draws and ravines that offer protection for livestock and wildlife. The ranch is very well watered with over five miles of live water from Lance Creek along with 15 submersible, solar and windmill wells. Interior fences have allowed the owners incorporate grazing plans to improve and enhance grass growth as well as improve weight gains on cattle. The grass is high quality with a variety of hard grass species, rich in protein content. The Greer Ranch has historically grazed 650 head of yearling cattle throughout the summer grazing season, or to run 250 cow/calf pairs year-round. Improvements include two modest homes, two sets of working corrals and numerous outbuildings.
