The Hand A tract is a good forested hunting property located in an area known for high deer density and good quality hunting. The property is diverse with a mixture of both hardwoods and pines. It is in a rural area, but has good access being just off a state highway. It has good road frontage and topography that is well suited for a few cabin sites on ridge tops. The soils on the upland areas are well suited for growing pines, with a site index of 83 for loblolly pine. The timber is a natural stand of about 55% hardwood and 45% pine. Tree sizes are about half sawtimber and half pulpwood. A timber inventory from 2010 indicated a timber value 7 years ago of about $50,000.
