Hazel River Retreat consists of two magical cabins and a studio on two lots that are being sold as one property. Accessed via an extraordinary footbridge over the wild Hazel River, Boulder Lodge, the larger cabin, features two bedrooms, one bath, a spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows and a wood burning fireplace. Renewal, the second cabin, is linked to Boulder Lodge via a footpath and two-foot bridges over the island. Renewal can also be accessed by a dedicated easement through the Park, across a ford in the river.
The two cabins and detached studio were renovated in 2015.
The Hazel River trail, part of Shenandoah National Park, is just up the road. Old Rag Mountain, one of the must-do trails for avid hikers, is nearby. The park is also home to scenic Skyline Drive with its overlooks as well as many miles of trails.
Rappahannock and surrounding counties offer endless recreational possibilities. There are wineries and breweries, great restaurants and cafes, antique stores, farms and orchards, and much more.
