A wet weather creek from the East Navidad River flows through the Ranch with approximately 3,400 feet of wet weather creek frontage. It is the same creek that runs under the famous and historic "Piano Bridge", the bridge is just 2.0 +/- miles away from the Ranch gate. The East Navidad River begins in southern Fayette County and runs southeast until it reaches Colorado County. The West Navidad River also begins in Fayette County and wanders south for twenty-three miles until its confluence with the East Navidad near Oakland, where it becomes the Navidad River. The town of Schulenburg is centered between the two branches, which are both somewhat seasonal, and navigation can be difficult due to low water levels and obstructions. The river then winds south, passing the small communities of Sublime, Speaks, and Morales and then forming Lake Texana about seven miles east of Edna. Beyond the lake, the river continues south for a few miles and then reaches its mouth on the Lavaca River. There are also various Ponds on the PIANO BRIDGE RANCH that are recharged from rain drainage and river flow to the creek. Native pastures and absolutely gorgeous LARGE, average and small native trees. The Navidad River is best known for being the territory of the legendary Wild Man of the Navidad, which many believe to be the very first Bigfoot sightings in Texas. The creature was first widely reported in 1837 throughout the early settlements along the Navidad River bottoms, circa the modern-day town of Sublime, Texas, in Lavaca County.
The PIANO BRIDGE RANCH has been historically used to raise Texas Beef Cattle and has fixed pens with chutes that will remain with the PIANO BRIDGE RANCH. The Ranch is crossed fenced with approximately 7 fenced divisions of barbed wire fencing for cattle rotation and hay production. Old rustic sheds and barns create a lovely rustic ranch atmosphere that saturates Old Texas Tradition in all ways. There are Water and Electric Utilities on the Ranch that is part of an old mobile home that is of "No Value", perfect for an RV pad while you build your custom dream home and ranch scape. Local entertainment, wine bars, bistros, farm and ranch supplies, and specialty shopping boutiques are a short drive away. Local quaint and unique Bed and Breakfast guest homes and two new hotels are just a short distance away for your overnight needs. The Dubina Painted Church, one of many of the famous Painted Churches Tour is just 2.8 miles away on Piano Bridge Road after crossing the Piano Bridge.
