Location: This property is located in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest in a beautiful valley setting between Blue Mountain and the Winding Stair Mountain Range. This property boarders for about 750 feet along a paved farm to market road. This is a rather remote area in the mountain valley about 15 miles from Talihina, 35 miles to the city of Poteau, 55 miles from the larger city of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and about 12 miles from Cedar Lake State Park. Although the land does not actually join the National Forest, it is just a short distance away. It is roughly mile to the Boardstand and Old Military Trail Heads and is handy to an impressive network of hiking and horseback riding trails that are operated and maintained by the US Forest Service. These trails travel through the western end of the Holson Valley and the Indian Nations Secenic Wildlife Areas.
