This property is under the Maine Tree Growth Tax Program. This program offers tax relief for landowners. Under this 10 year plan a forest management plan is in place. The land can be sustainably harvested for timber. Which allows the owner to make income off the land. The current plan in place can be adopted by new owner, or a new plan put in place within 1 year from purchase. Now there is a penalty to remove the property from this program.
