The log house (built in 1990) sits on a low bluff overlooking the Yellowstone River with a large covered deck off the kitchen. Custom woodwork, 2 Blaze King wood burning stoves (to compliment the electric heat), and south facing windows frame the view towards Yellowstone National Park. The largest bedroom and a full bath (separate tub & shower) are located on the main floor along with the living room, dining area, kitchen, laundry room. Downstairs is a walk out basement with a bath (tub/shower), 2 bedrooms (each with sliding glass doors), a wet bar, family room, and two extra rooms for fly-tying and/or storage. A concrete patio with bench seating is located off the two downstairs bedrooms offering easy access to the river.

The house has an attached 2 car garage with a built-in work bench and a wood burning stove. Not far away is a boathouse/shop where you can store a drift boat or other recreational gear. The property has a 20 gallon per minute well, and a Provisional Permit to irrigate a half acre of landscaping and garden from the Yellowstone River. The large garden area located in the meadow below the house is fenced to protect the garden from the many species of wildlife who visit the property.

The ranch across the Yellowstone River to the west is held in a conservation easement which limits development and protects the view shed.
