There are also many other hardwoods such as sycamore, elm, and cedar along Ragsdale Creek and the other small creek systems. The native brush is typical of the Texas coastal plains, including scrub oak and yaupon.
Terrain: The ranch primarily has sandy soils throughout, with darker soils in the lower areas. Ragsdale Creek traverses the middle of the ranch for 1.7 miles offering rolling elevation changes. There are several small creek systems that drain the ranch into Ragsdale Creek.
Hunting: This ranch provides wonderful habitat to all kinds of wildlife. There are white-tail deer, turkey, hogs, dove, ducks, and geese. This area is well-known for its duck and geese hunting in the winter months.
