Ely
The largest city and county seat of White Pine County, Ely is home to over 4,000 residents. Founded as a stagecoach stop, copper was discovered in the early 1900's and Ely's mining boom was born. Today Ely has all city amenities, including shopping, restaurants, hotels, and since it is Nevada, casinos. With vast open spaces around Ely there are plenty of outdoor activities in the area including hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing in the winter months.
