This woodland and wetland tract offers rich habitat diversity. The property is heavily wooded and includes several seasonal wetlands and a large marsh/swamp area which provides opportunities for many game and non-game species. Waterfowl enjoy the seclusion here in contrast to Dewart Lake, one-half mile south. The property is bordered on three sides by woodland, cropland, or wild land. Established trails provide ample access to many areas. The woodland has not been harvested for an estimated 15-20 years, and there are scattered mature and overmature trees. This tract is great for hunting as is but could be managed to provide better habitat by careful timber harvesting, timber stand improvement, the creation of food plots, and other strategic wildlife habitat development and management. Hunting rights have been leased in the past with good reported results.
